Innovations in the adhesive field have rapidly evolved, and the applications for bonded glass have adapted accordingly. Glas Expert, known for promoting innovative technical solutions, has investigated and tested various glass bonding techniques for architectural purposes.
The technical solutions developed by Glas Expert in this field are supported by laboratory results, including rapid aging tests and tensile force measurements.
To ensure quality and reliability, we have invested in specialized equipment and created dedicated testing areas within our production hall. All these efforts have confirmed that bonding architectural glass can be successfully achieved across a variety of applications.
Glas Expert began installing laminated and tempered EVOLAM T glass balustrades with bonding details after obtaining all necessary conclusions from laboratory tests and impact resistance evaluations.
Tests conducted in accordance with TRAV standards, at specific heights for traffic areas where bonded balustrades are installed, have confirmed that these can be successfully used in high-traffic areas.
Thus, balustrades made from EVOLAM T, bonded using solutions developed by Glas Expert, have demonstrated resistance to impact tests performed at a height of 1200mm from the point of contact.
To conceal the bonding solution, the area on the EVOLAM T must be ceramic screen-printed, allowing customization with any color from the RAL palette. This approach provides flexibility in harmonizing shades with the surrounding glass areas.
A special variant is represented by the balustrade with ceramic print on the exterior glass, combined with ceramic screen printing on the interior, creating an opaque area that hides the bonding solution, while the ceramic print becomes the visible element.
Safety and security are paramount for Glas Expert when installing this type of balustrade, ensuring that they are safe for use by applying all necessary measures.
