P House is a very interesting project, not only because the beneficiaries insisted on outstanding quality but also because of the involvement of Samuel Bumbu, a visionary modern day achitect.
Glas Expert’s typically comprehensive focus on the technical aspects, the calculations and the fine details of this project led to its successful completion.
The glass floor, made of EVOLAM laminated glass, instead of being supported by a regular metal structure, sits on on EVOLAM T laminated tempered glass beams. Held together with custom made stainless steel parts, the beams ensure the strength and stability of the entire floor structure.
The railings, also made of EVOLAM T laminated safety glass, have been CNC machined in full to accurately follow the staircase contours. The glass railings were fastened with fixing points on the corian support and behind the staircase structure.
Made from ultraclear (low-iron) glass, the assembly allows light to freely pass through to the ground floor which, reflected in the living room mirrors, creates a warm and uniquely captivating atmosphere.
The EVODUR ESG bronze-coloured glass shower doors were mounted on Dorma hardware. Because the beneficiary wanted to build two adjoining shower cabins, we designed the entire assembly so that it would glide on the same track.
The LED mirrors have been adapted and customized for the client’s required space, with all systems hidden from view and using superior tech that requires little or no maintenance.
