EVOKERAM S is a glass upon which ceramic enamel is applied using screen printing. In this case, ceramic enamel is layered as a decorative or functional film on the glass surface for aesthetic purposes or for light control.
The screen applies the ceramic enamel onto the glass surface in a controlled layer, in accordance with the grid pattern design. Once the ceramic enamel is applied uniformly, the glass is heated to a temperature of about 650 degrees Celsius, at which point it begins to soften. This process allows the ceramic enamel to fuse with the glass, resulting in a final product that incorporates highly resilient ‘UV resistant, and abrasion / chemical-resistant colour’.
EVOKERAM S fractures into very small, harmless shards, ensuring the safety and security of those who may come into contact with the broken glass.
The printing screen can be used repeatedly for several colour variations using the same pattern.
EVOKERAM S uses RAL codes and can produce various types of glass with thicknesses from 4 mm to 19 mm
EVOKERAM S shares the same qualities as EVODUR ESG but also has colour applied via ceramic enamel. EVOKERAM S’s remarkable ‘Safety and Security’ related mechanical qualities make it the recommended first choice for doors, partition walls, railings, shower cubicles, elevator doors and glass stairs, ventilates facades and thermal insulated facades.
Indoor or outdoor glass cladding – EVOKERAM S is the only way to apply a UV-resistant, mechanical and chemical-resistant colour to the glass.
Partition panels – using one or more colours but with a repetitive pattern, facilitates separate office spaces with various inflections or accents.
EVOKERAM S is resistant to temperatures of up to 250° C, relative to regular glass, in which case a temperature difference of only 30° C causes it to break. This enhanced thermal resistance feature enables EVOKERAM S to be used in the manufacture of home appliances, microwave ovens, electric or gas cookers, kitchen countertops (for protection against hot cookware), fireplace doors, industrial furnaces and other applications requiring high resistance to heat stress.
In the case of glass facades, EVOKERAM S is integrated into the thermal insulation panel as an exterior or interior sheet. The enamel can be applied to one face of the thermal insulating panel if the project requires it. This enamel is a special ceramic adapted to withstand constant direct contact with chemical and abrasive factors, as well as UV rays.
EVOKERAM S glass steps can be created in various designs and have different types of anti-slip ceramic enamel applied, with varying levels of roughness/grip, depending on the area in which they are to be installed. In pools or areas with wet and slippery surfaces, for instance, ceramic enamel with a greater degree of roughness or grip is applied in a specific pattern to ensure safety.
Whether laminated or not, glass flooring contains EVOKERAM S to some degree or other, for anti-slip features. Besides the impressive design elements and the RAL colour applied with ceramic enamel that offers aesthetic harmony with other design elements in any given space, EVOKERAM S’s mechanical qualities also offer increased safety and security.
In the case of glass doors, if the project requires a specific nuance, the screen printed glass EVOKERAM S might be installed with the ceramic enamel out or indoor oriented. EVODUR ESG’s mechanical qualities, enable doors with ceramic enamel applied can be mounted onto any type of hardware.
