Glas Expert becomes an IAKS member in 2018

In 2018 Glas Expert proudly becomes the first Romanian member of IAKS – the International Association for Sports and Leisure Facilities. We developed special products for this genre building on the challenges of the Therme project completed between 2016 and 2018.
Founded and established in Cologne in 1965, and being the only non-profit organization concerned globally with the subject of sports and leisure facility development it has been awarded the status of a ‘Recognised Organization’ by the International Olympic Committee (IOC).
IAKS has about 1,000 members in 110 countries, currently Germany, Japan, Latin America / Caribbean, Poland, Russia, Switzerland and Spain and, as of 2018, Romania.
IAKS not only cooperates with the CIO – the International Olympic Committee, but also with the International Paralympic Committee (ICC), the International Council for Sport Science and Physical Education (ICSSPE) and the International Union of Architects (UIA). It is also connected with international sports federations and national Olympic committees and has been included in the UN Economic and Social Council (ECOSOC) consultative council by the United Nations.
IAKS members and partners are architects, engineers, company and industry associations, sports organisations, sports ministries, education and construction, local governments, universities and other educational institutions.
